At its Made for Google event, Google unveiled its latest foldable phone — the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. This is the first foldable phone from Google which will come to India. Google says that it is s the thinnest foldable phone and has the biggest inner display on any mobile device.
Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold: Price, availability
Pixel 9 Pro Fold is priced at Rs 1,72,999 in India. Pixel 9 Pro Fold will be available in two colours, Porcelain and Obsidian.Google hasn’t revealed the sale date of the smartphone. However, it will be available on Flipkart as the e-commerce platform has already dropped a teaser for it.
Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold: Specifications
Google's Pixel 9 Pro Fold has an 8-inch inner display with an LTPO panel featuring 2922x1344 resolution and an adaptive refresh rate that adjusts smoothly from 1 to 120Hz. The smartphone offers peak brightness of 3000 nits. When folded, the outer screen has a 6.3-inch display. Google says that it has made the hinge more sturdier with aerospace-grade aluminum alloy. The phone offers IPX8 rating and has the durable Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.
Under the hood, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold is powered by Google's Tensor G4 chip, the same powerful processor found in the rest of the Pixel 9 series. It features 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage.
The smartphone is backed by a massive 5060mAh battery and supports 45W fast charging. Google says that on a single charge it can last up to 100 hours with Extreme Battery Saver mode activated.
The Pixel 9 Pro Fold features a triple camera system housed in a distinctive square-like module. The main camera boasts a 50MP wide lens, complemented by a 48MP ultrawide and a powerful 48MP 5x telephoto lens. For capturing selfies, the device offers a high-resolution 42MP front camera on the inner display and a convenient 10MP shooter on the cover screen.
