Call of Duty Mobile has hit the 1 billion download mark worldwide, the developers announced in an official blog post. Activision’s mobile shooter is also celebrating its fifth anniversary after launching in 2019.
Call of Duty Mobile’s Season 10 launched recently and as part of the fifth anniversary celebrations, brings a new Battle Royale map, Krai, to the first-person shooting game on Android, iOS, and iPadOS.
“Krai is a mid-sized map nestled in a valley at the base of the Ural Mountains, featuring a serene and picturesque landscape full of conspiracies hidden just below the surface”, the developers said in the blog post.
Call of Duty Mobile’s Krai BR map has five major points of interest: the Knight Station transit hub (centre of the map), the Principia Sanatorium (South), Tranquility Parish (North West), and the abandoned Safari Land Animal Play Park and Thistledown Village Industrial Park (East).
In the Krai map, you’ll get one respawn. If you are killed after that, you’ll drop a scannable dog tag. Now, only when someone from your team reaches the dog tag and scans it, can you make a comeback to the ongoing game.
The new Battle Royale map Krai holds secrets, like hidden areas, objectives, and more. Call of Duty Mobile developers have dropped hints for points of interest and easter eggs for the Krai maps.
“Seek out the swimming pool, activate the train, watch for flocks of chickens, explore the church… these and other easter eggs encourage Operators to investigate every part of the new map”, the developers noted in the blog post.
