Rumours regarding the iPhone 17 series are now beginning to start as the excitement surrounding Apple's iPhone 16 series drops down after its release in September the Cupertino-based tech giant has been rumored to replace the iPhone 16 Plus with an iPhone 17 Air next year, as the Plus models have been receiving the most disappointing sales of the four models every year. Let us now take a look at the expected specifications of the upcoming iPhone 17 Air.

Apple iPhone 17 Air: Expected features and specs

The iPhone 17 Air is expected to come with an updated, slimmer design. Further, the Information reports that the iPhone 17 Air could be so thin that Apple might not have space to include a physical SIM tray. In India and other Asian markets, dual SIM functionality is highly preferred, and while iPhones do offer this feature, one of the slots is a physical SIM, with the other requiring an eSIM.

While in the US market, Apple has already transitioned to eSIM-only iPhones, this could be a challenge in markets like India. The iPhone 17 Air will also have a smaller battery than current iPhones, but it remains to be seen how battery life ultimately compares. Moreover, it is expected to feature a large, centered camera bump on the back, potentially housing a single camera sensor, unlike most vanilla iPhones.

Other rumoured features for the iPhone 17 Air include a 6.6-inch display, aluminum frame, A19 chip, Face ID, Dynamic Island, a 24MP front camera, and 8GB of RAM support for Apple Intelligence.
