Apple today announced that Apple Fitness+ is now available in India, opening up its award-winning fitness and wellness service to Indian users for the first time. The launch is part of Apple’s largest Fitness+ expansion since the service was introduced five years ago, taking it to users across 49 countries and regions worldwide.
Pricing and availabilityFitness+ offers 12 workout and wellness categories, including Strength, Yoga, HIIT, Pilates, Dance, Cycling, Kickboxing and Meditation. Sessions range from five minutes to 45 minutes, making it easy to fit workouts into different schedules. The service works across iPhone, iPad and Apple TV, and pairs seamlessly with Apple Watch for real-time metrics such as heart rate, calories burned, Activity ring progress and the Burn Bar, which compares effort with others who have completed the same workout.
Apple says personalisation is at the core of the Fitness+ experience. Custom Plans automatically create tailored schedules based on a user’s preferred workouts, trainers, music styles and durations. Features like Stay Consistent, Push Further and Get Started are designed to support beginners as well as users looking to increase intensity.
Music plays a central role, with deep integration with Apple Music and curated genres such as Upbeat Anthems, Hip-Hop and Latest Hits. Apple is also introducing a new K-pop genre across all workout types, featuring global hits from leading artists.
Fitness+ also includes Time to Walk, an audio-based experience on iPhone and Apple Watch featuring stories from well-known personalities, along with curated Collections and guided meditation sessions across 12 themes.
