Amazon is preparing to enter the AI agent market with a new software package called Quick Suite, designed to help businesses accelerate decision-making through insights, research, and automation. The company is currently running private previews and an internal beta with a select group of companies, signalling its first significant step into AI-driven enterprise software.

According to internal documents, Quick Suite combines existing AWS tools, such as the QuickSight data analysis platform and the Q Business AI chatbot, with a new feature called Quick Flows. Quick Flows provides pre-built workflows that allow employees to automate tasks using natural language prompts. The suite also includes a “deep research agent” capable of generating reports from both internal and external data, as well as enabling organisations to build and share custom agents tailored to their needs.

An Amazon spokesperson said: “We are seeing strong growth of Amazon Q Business with customers like Remitly, Nasdaq, and Smartsheet, along with partners like Zoom and Asana, adopting it to provide employees with generative AI assistance to transform how work gets done. Similarly, we are seeing customers like BMW and GoDaddy embrace Amazon QuickSight in order to make data-driven decisions quickly. We're building on this strong response with even more innovation to help customers realise the benefits of agentic AI in the workplace.”

Amazon has invited around 50 companies to the private preview, including BMW, Intuit, and Koch Industries. Testers have praised the suite’s more intuitive design, simpler setup, and deep research capabilities, as well as integrations with platforms such as Jira. However, some have reported challenges with cloud networking restrictions and strict permission requirements for data access.

The launch of Quick Suite, now expected in September, positions Amazon in direct competition with Google, Microsoft, OpenAI, Salesforce, and other developers of AI workplace tools. The move also strengthens Amazon’s presence in enterprise software, an area where its cloud business has long dominated but its software offerings have had less influence.
