At the Asian Cricket Council's AGM on Tuesday, the BCCI voiced "strong objection" to India not receiving the Asia Cup winner's trophy. However, Mohsin Naqvi, the chairman of the organization, reportedly remained unyielding and "still not agreed" to the proposal.
"India raised strong objection in the ACC meeting today on not handing over of the trophy and the drama by ACC chairman (Naqvi) during the post-match award event," a PTI report quoted an ACC source as saying.

The Board's representatives at the AGM in Dubai were former treasurer Ashish Shelar and BCCI vice-president Rajeev Shukla.
"Shuklaji categorically said that the trophy should be handed over to the winning team. It is an ACC trophy and doesn't belong to an individual, he said," the report quoted the source as adding.

However, the source said Naqvi "still hasn't agreed to give the trophy," the report claimed.
The trophy was not given to India on Sunday because they refused to accept it from Naqvi, the chairman of the cricket board and a minister in the Pakistani government.
It is yet unclear when the members of the victorious squad will get the Asia Cup trophy, which is currently in the ACC office.
