Rishabh Pant's sister slams 'two-faced' critics

Rishabh Pant’s sister Sakshi has responded strongly to a video that ridiculed her brother following his subpar batting effort for the Lucknow Super Giants against the Punjab Kings in an IPL 2025 match on Tuesday, March 31. In a video produced by the satirical content publication thefauxysports, the anchor poked fun at Pant's IPL 2025 performance and the high price at which the Lucknow Super Giants acquired him at the IPL 2025 Mega auction.

The anchor of thefauxysports stated, "Big news is coming from Lucknow where after seeing Rishabh Pant's performance today, the rest of the IPL teams decided that they will together give Rs 27 crore to LSG owners to not let Pant go out of the franchise. In fact, Pant, who was sold for 27 crores, has not scored even 27 runs till now, and more than that has been spent in treating the anger of LSG owner Goenka."

He added, "According to Foxy sources, after seeing Rishabh Pant's performance, LSG owner Goenka has apologized to KL Rahul. Currently, to recover his ₹27 crores, Goenka is thinking of making Rishabh Pant his car driver."

Sakshi, who purportedly thought that the FuxySports anchor was actually serious, reacted on the video, saying, "That's why we say two faced media/People."

She was informed by some users that the Instagram page was for satirical posts, and they advised her not to take anything said there literally.

In the current Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season, Rishabh Pant has not yet lit the stage on fire. After starting with a duck against the Delhi Capitals, the wicketkeeper batsman managed to score 15 runs against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

With the Lucknow Super Giants already struggling at 32/2 in his third game against PBKS, Pant had a chance to steady the innings but was dismissed cheaply by Glenn Maxwell.  His ability to lead from the front is coming under increasing scrutiny after he has scored only 17 runs in three games.
