RCB vs KKR IPL 2024: Kohli vs Starc, Russell vs Siraj, and more; five mini-battles to watch today

The tenth match of IPL 2024 will be played between Royal Challengers Bengaluru(RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on March 29. Both RCB and KKR are coming to this match after winning their previous encounter. KKR is currently placed at fourth place in the points table and RCB at sixth which will change after today's match and both teams will look to cement their position during the intial stage of the season.

The match will see some intense individual contests as well. Let us take a look:

Mitchell Starc vs Virat Kohli

It will be match-up to watch out for as the most expensive player in IPL history Mitchell Starc will come to bowl his opening spell against one of the best in the game Virat Kohli. While Virat played a match winning knock in the last game against Punjab Kings and was player of the match, Starc will look to improve his bowling figures after he gave away 53 runs in four over spell in his last match against SRH.

Faf du Plessis vs Harshit Rana

Another mini battle to watch out will be between KKR's latest bowling sensation Harshit Rana and RCB skipper Faf du Plessis. Rana bowled a crucial final over to hand KKR a victory in the game against SRH while du Plessis showed his mettle in the season's opening match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

Sunil Narine vs Glenn Maxwell

Sunil Narine is looking threatening this season as he bowled an economical spell in KKR's first game at a time when other bowlers from his teams were leaking runs. Sunil Narine who generally bowls in the middle of the innings will have his match up against Glenn Maxwell of Australia who has had a couple of forgettable outings in the first two games but he can tear any bowling lineup apart when at his menacing best.

Andre Russell vs Mohammed Siraj

A much fitter Andre Russell has already announced his intention of making big contributions to KKR and he played a crucial role in KKR's win in the first match against SRH. RCB will look to see the back of RusselL soon before he unleashes his power at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium and they will rely on Mohammed Siraj's swing to dismiss him.

Rinku Singh vs Alzarri Joseph

Rinku Singh who had an excellent season last year and is looking all set for another good season and will have to tackle the pace of Carribean pacer Alzari Joseph, who just like Mitchell Starc of KKR will look to make a big impact in the game.
