IPL 2025: It’s that time of the year again. The time for the Indian Premier League (IPL) extravaganza. The time when 10 teams engage in high-class cricket action comprising 74 T20s across 13 stadiums of the cricket-mad country.

Defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) take on perennial underachievers Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata in the first match to kick off the 18th edition of the cash-rich league on Saturday.

A glitzy opening ceremony is scheduled at 6:00 PM IST just before the opening match between KKR and RCB.

Where to watch IPL 2025 live in India: TV channels

The Star Sports Network will stream live on a number of channels.  English will be among the twelve languages for which commentary will be available.  Star Sports 1 HD and SD will carry the English feed.

The IPL 2025 matches will be streamed live on the JioHotstar platform.  In contrast to last year, live streaming of the matches requires a subscription charge.
