The IUCN Red List is a global inventory assessing the conservation status of species. It classifies animals into categories like critically endangered, endangered and vulnerable based on population size, threats and trends. Species listed as critically endangered face an extremely high risk of extinction in the wild, making every birth a vital contribution to survival.

How are Scientists conserving these Species?

Scientists and conservationists use several strategies to save these animals by captive breeding programs, wildlife monitoring, habitat protection, community engagement and genetic research. 2025 has offered a rare glimpse of hope for some of the world’s most endangered species. Conservation efforts, backed by science and public awareness, remain critical to ensure that these rare animals survive for generations to come.
