The Human Race range of carpets by Interface is earthy in its truest sense.

Global warming is slowly catching up to us and it’s time sustainability permeates all aspects of our life. Therefore, Interface, a global carpet tile manufacturer, has worked towards this end and launched its latest collection of carpet tiles called Human Nature. The line has been designed by US-based David Oakey, a longtime interface collaborator. It’s built on the premise that spaces which stimulate the senses through light, colour, texture and detail can ignite our human creative spirit. The range, innately connected with the human-earth relationship, takes its cues from the visual, tactile textures found in the most elemental of floor coverings — forest floors, grassy fields and pebbled garden paths. Made with 100 per cent recycled content nylon yarn, it is manufactured at Interface factories that are, on an average, 39 per cent more energy efficient and consume 83 per cent less water. Featuring five 25 cm x 1 m skinny plank carpet tile patterns, the tiles also offer a significant advantage over hardwood flooring, absorbing sound and improving acoustics.
