Artist Amit Dutt has the power to transform the ordinary into extraordinary through his bold lines and powerful figures.

  New-Delhi based eminent artist Amit Dutt’s works are non-conformist in nature and are usually about celebration of life, of thought and impulse. After a five-year diploma course in Applied Arts from Shilpa Bharti Institute of Fine Arts and Crafts, New Delhi, the artist immersed in expressing himself through the medium of charcoal and pencil. Over a period of time, Amit’s art (mostly figurative work) evolved beyond the shackles of the medium of expression — now, any surface, any object and any medium could be his canvas. For his exceptional body of work, the artist has been recognized and felicitated by a wide spectrum of organizations, institutions and individuals over the years including the All India Award by Indian Academy of Fine Arts. He has been an active participant in several group shows such as the Contemporary Art Exhibition at Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi (2015) and India Art Fair at Nehru Centre, Mumbai (2014). His recent solo shows include Art Sutra at Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi (2014); Gallery Pioneer, New Delhi (2013) and Tranquility at Gallery Pioneer (2012).
