Zoho CEO Sridhar Vembu recently took inspiration from a Buddhist saying to express how he felt about ordering a "garlic-infused black gram cappuccino with rye lavash" at a "way-too-fancy" restaurant.
"When the universe conspires to give you 'Garlic infused black gram cappuccino with rye lavash (sic) at a way-too-fancy way-too-cool high-end fusion restaurant and you paid for it, it is best to think: Pain is real, suffering is optional," he posted on X, formerly Twitter, with a cropped picture of the dish on the menu card.

When asked by followers what the dish looked like, Sridhar Vembu said, "Imagine cappuccino and garlic black gram soup having an illegitimate child."
The dish had also piqued the curiosity of other X users.
"I thought this was poondu rasam," said one while another user commented, "Coffee mixed with an excuse for a sambar?"
Then there were some who offered to explain the unique dish.
"It’s just foam! Another known one is Mushroom Cappucino... no coffee here. They just use the cappuccino attachment with the soup to create the foam/froth part," wrote a user. "It's basically a froth concept from cappuccino used in this soup. Not to relate to coffee. A frothy black gram soup with garlic," added another.
