Television actor and Vistara flier Surbhi Chandna has slammed Vistara after her bag went missing. Surbhi Chandna said that her priority bag was randomly offloaded from the flight at the Mumbai airport and the ground staff were rude and unable to help her locate the luggage.
Taking to X, the actor wrote, "The WORST AIRLINE award goes to Vistara. A priority bag was offloaded for reasons best known to them. They have wasted the entire day and I still have not been assured if the bag has reached the Mumbai airport or not... false promises by the incompetent staff and horrible delays by the airline."

Elaborating further in her Instagram stories, the Naagin actor wrote that when she approached the Vistara ground staff for help, they were "extremely unprofessional, undertrained, and unapologetic".
"Extremely rude in her approach, (the ground staffer) straight-up said, 'We do not know when your bag will come and we cannot commit anything.' Also when asked about delivery, she said, 'My vendors are occupied and I will not be able to deliver the bag to you. It will be better if you come to pick it up," Chandna wrote. "This is the pathetic staff and service of the airline when they are at fault. I suggest you think a 100 times before you fly this pathetic airline."
Meanwhile, Vistara reached out to Chandna and assured her that they would resolve the problem. "Hi Ms. Chandna, we are concerned to learn of your dissatisfaction. Please assist us with your booking details and a convenient time to connect via DM and we will have this addressed at the earliest," a customer support executive wrote.
Responding to her post, other fliers recounted similar experiences with the airline.
"The same thing happened to me a few months back when my priority luggage never made it from Mumbai-Goa, Vistara couldn’t figure for a while and the baggage tag didn’t work. Took them over 24 hours to get me my bag, after many false promises, and I was left stranded for a day without clothes," wrote Kirit Amichandwala (@amichandwala).
"I totally agree with Vistara's performance assessment. And the biggest issue I have with them is their staff's total indifference. They don't give any heed to customer's suffering," added another X user Rishabh Jain (@j_rishabh).
There were also some who pointed out that Vistara does not deserve the worst airline award.
"I have been a regular traveller on Vistara for the last 9 years and can tell you that the issue is mainly in Mumbai and not at other airports where Vistara operates and so it is good for the airlines to look into the same," commented Satish Lakkaraju (@satishlakkaraju). Another X user anjali mudra (@anjalimundhra) said, "Vistara was the only best flight I have travelled. Sorry for your experience. It might genuinely be a mistake. One of a kind only. They are really very sweet.. their staff etc."
A third user Subhash Venugopalan (@subhashvg) added, "Sorry to hear your experience and hope Vistara addresses it. However, your assessment of the worst airline is way off the mark! That award is reserved for Indigo which wins the worst airline award by a country mile."
