After multiple complaints of crowding of trains and passengers with confirmed tickets not being able to travel in comfort, the Railway Ministry has recently been taking to social media, requesting users not to "malign" the image of the Railways with "misleading videos".

In the first case, a woman claimed that a passenger who had confirmed 3-tier Ac tickets for Kaifiyat Express was unable to board the train due to crowding and eventually resorted to stone pelting, breaking one of the coach's glass windows.

Reacting to it, the Railway Ministry wrote, "Based on the internal investigation. No such incident related to breaking of glass was reported. Kindly refrain from sharing old misleading videos."

In another instance, AAP supporter and X user Kapil (Kapsology) shared visuals of a crowded 2-tier AC coach on Friday. On Saturday, the Railway Ministry shared a video of the same coach and wrote, "The present video of the coach. No overcrowding. Please don't malign the image of Indian Railways by sharing misleading videos."

The subsequent posts on X, the ministry has also shared that security at stations have been upped for crowd control.

"Our forefront staff are working 24x7 to ensuring smooth journey for passengers. Security and ticket checking staff have been deployed at various stations of for smooth movement of passengers," the Railway Ministry stated in a separate post.
