Zomato founder Deepinder Goyal opened up about his encounters with Swiggy co-founders, his thoughts on their friendly relationships, and their shared vision for the future of the food delivery industry during a recent podcast chat on ‘The Ranveer Show’ with YouTuber Ranveer Allahabadia,

Allahabadia spoke about Zomato, the business and the industry before asking Goyal, "Have you met the Swiggy founders?" Goyal's response was clear, "Several times."

Sriharsha Majety is the co-founder and CEO of Swiggy. He started the company in 2014 with Nandan Reddy and Rahul Jaimini.

"What do you talk about when you meet them?" Allahabadia inquired further. Goyal shared that it is all friendly, as he stated, "Friendship. We talk about the future, nice friendly relationship.”

On do they talk business, Goyal said, “We don’t talk current business – it’s not legal either. I should not get to know their strategy – the competition should remember fair.”

So what do they talk about? “We gossip about the future. How will drones work in 5 minutes?" Goyal quipped.

Allahabadia probed further, asking if Goyal draws motivation from Swiggy co-founder Majethia. Goyal responded, "I don’t know about him, but I definitely take inspiration from him."

The conversation shifted towards their personal app preferences, with Allahabadia asking, "Do you use Swiggy?" Goyal's response was unexpected, "Never. Zero. Used experimentally several times but never used like real use. Compared both apps to see delivery time, etc."
