One category made up a large chunk of all the digital transactions that Paytm CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma carried out this year – food. According to his Paytm Recap, Sharma spent a whopping Rs 2 lakh ordering food in 2023.
The founder and CEO of digital payments company Paytm shared a glimpse of his Paytm Recap on X (the social media formerly known as Twitter) this afternoon.
According to the screenshots, Vijay Shekhar Sharma made 95 payments to Zomato through Paytm in 2023. This was followed by 14 payments to the Haldiram’s outlet in Noida’s Skymark One, where the Paytm office is located.
Bikanervala received 11 payments from the CEO of Paytm this year, and Delhi’s iconic Kuremal Kulfi he ordered 10 times.

One97 Communications Ltd (OCL), the parent company of Paytm, released its 2023 Recap earlier this week.
Paytm’s analysis found that Rs 20 was the most common amount paid by users on the payments platform. The platform also faciliated the payment of over 55 lakh challans, amounting to more than Rs 179 crore in total.
The maximum number of payments between 12 to 6 am were made in Delhi. In this respect, the national capital outshone places like Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, and Goa to emerge as Paytm’s “night owl”.
