It is safe to say that the debate around Android phones and iPhones is never-ending. Just like the hullabaloo around Mumbai and Delhi. So, when a super clear and zoomed in video of Rihanna performing at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding festivities in Jamnagar surfaced online, it obviously went insanely viral and triggered a debate around what device was used to record it. A Samsung or an Apple.

The now-viral video was shared on X by a page called FentyStats. The clip featured the Barbadian pop sensation performing “All of the Lights” at the lavish pre-wedding celebration of Ambani and Merchant. The footage was zoomed in from a far distance and the zoom out sparked a frenzy on the microblogging site.

A majority of users thought that the phone used to capture the video was a Samsung. “These are the type of ads Samsungneeds to be doing,” one user wrote. Another user commented, “When I got my Samsung had me zooming into everything for like a week. It's still useful when there is something in the distance you can't make out.”

However, a reader’s note under post mentioned that the clip was recorded using an iPhone 13 Pro Max.The same was confirmed by the original uploader of the footage, a man named Joh Masse.

He had shared the same video on his Instagram account as well. “I took the video with an iPhone,” he wrote, retweeting the post.

“Since when did iPhones have that kind of zoom? Be real with us man,” one user questioned. To which Masse replied, “It’s the wide angle.”

Since Rihanna performed for the first time in India, some people even demanded to see Masse’s invitation to the Ambani bash as proof. “The bigger flex is you were at the wedding,” a user remarked.

“Show us your wedding invitation,” someone wrote.

Even after the clarification from Masse himself, some people were to baffled to believe that the footage was taken from an iPhone. “We don’t believe you. Sincerely, everyone.”

“It’s okay. Just admit you bought a Samsung,” a user added.

Meanwhile, Rihanna's private concert in Jamnagar for the Ambani bash was a superhit. The pop sensation serenaded the high-profile guests present at the gala, including Ivanka Trump, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg.
