'They're like 'match with pro athletes using our new feature' and I was like okay this must be good. I was getting excited, the expectations were rising,' Emily Delleman told her followers on TikTok.

American athlete Emily Delleman recently provided an inside look into the experiences of athletes at the Olympic Village in Paris, revealing hers on a dating app. The 26-year-old took to TikTok to document her journey after re-downloading Tinder, sharing her observations and experiences with her followers.

"So I was laying in my cardboard bed the other day recovering and I was scrolling through TikTok and I was seeing the girlies saying 'hey change your location to the Olympic Village' and I was like 'oh my gosh genius'," Delleman told her followers, according to SkyNews.

I haven't had this app downloaded in years, so I go to the app store and they're already hyping it up. They're like 'match with pro athletes using our new feature' and I was like okay this must be good. I was getting excited, the expectations were rising," she said.

However, her initial search yielded few results. Delleman checked her location settings, finding that despite setting a one-mile radius, she had only encountered two other Olympians. "I was like okay my settings must be weird. No. I'm like location one mile radius and so far I think I've seen a total of two other Olympians," she explained.

Expressing her mixed feelings, she added, "I mean don't get me wrong, you Parisian men are beautiful, chefs kiss like I don't know what they put in the water. But you know I went in with the expectations of finding some of my future plot lines but alas I guess we're searching for other forms of entertainment and that's why you're finding me on TikTok."

Delleman’s video quickly went viral, amassing millions of views and sparking widespread interest. Tinder's official account commented on her video, asking to be tagged in part two, as reported by SkyNews.

Meanwhile, the video comes amid growing public curiosity about the conditions within the Olympic Village and how athletes are spending their time. This interest was further fueled by US tennis star Coco Gauff's revelation about the living conditions she and her teammates experienced.

Gauff noted that she is the only Team USA women's tennis player residing in the Olympic Village due to a challenging living situation that led others to move to a hotel.

In a brief TikTok video, Gauff shared a tour of the $1.6 billion housing complex, highlighting the cramped conditions. "10 girls, two bathrooms. #olympicvillage," the 20-year-old wrote.

The rooms, designed for eight people, were being shared by ten, and Gauff had to borrow a mattress topper from the US Archery team to improve the comfort of the thin polyethylene mattresses.
