The students of a university in Madhya Pradesh have been up in arms after it allegedly forgot to conduct MSc Computer Science first semester paper which was scheduled on March 5.
To protest against the confusion, the students of Jabalpur Rani Durgavati University came to meet the vice chancellor Dr Rajesh Verma blindfolded and demanded an explanation, NDTV reported.
The students claimed that the government-run university had released the exam schedule and the admit cards, but the exam was never held. Candidates from other districts including Jabalpur reached the university at 8 am on Tuesday morning only to be informed that no examination was being held on the day and the university had not even prepared the question papers.
The university had released the timetable of MSc Chemistry Third Semester, Computer Science First Semester, and Computer Science Third Semester 2023-24 on 14 February.
The examinations of all three courses at Rani Durgavati University were scheduled to be held from February 21 to March 13 from 8 am to 11 am.
The students claimed that even if the examination was cancelled, they were not informed about it. Meanwhile, the vice chancellor have announced a new date for the MSc examination and has initiated an inquiry into the incident.
