Singer-songwriter Sid Sriram marked his debut performance at Coachella on April 13 and also shared a video of the same on Instagram. The music festival that is underway at the Empire Polo Club in California saw performances by Lana Del Rey, Lil Uzi Vert, ATEEZ, and more on the first day.
Meanwhile, Sriram who achieved overnight fame after his superhit track “Srivalli” for Allu Arjun-starrer “Pushpa: The Rise”, performed an English R&B song and blended it with his Carnatic roots. The singer was born in Chennai and moved to California with his parents at the age of one.
“@sidsriram got the Coachella livestream started right,” read the caption of the post shared by the official handle of Coachella.
According to GIANT, Sriram also performed hits like “Do the Dance” from his album “Sidharth” and even treated the audience to a Tamil song “Kannalanae” from the 1994 movie “Bombay”. He also added spiritual touches to his performance at the popular music festival.
Sriram is known for his songs in the Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi and English music industry. This year, he has been touring various places after announcing a world tour for his album “Sidharth”. He has since performed in London, Manchester, Berlin, Paris, Amsterdam and parts of North America.
Sriram has also crooned two songs for Amitabh Bachchan-starrer "Jhund". He sang "Laat Maar" and "Baadal se Dosti" for the film.
Meanwhile, Sriram is not the only Indian artist to perform at Coachella this year. Popular Punjabi singer AP Dhillon is all set for his debut performance as well and will be accompanied by his music partner Shinda Kahlon. The “Dil Nu” singer will be performing on April 14 and 21.
