As Delhi NCR work up to sudden rain and thunderstorms on Friday, Singapore’s High Commissioner to India, Simon Wong, took to social media to show how to embrace the weather. Delhi-NCR witnessed the first heavy rain and thunderstorms of 2026 on Friday morning, amid cold winter conditions. According to IMD, the temperature is likely to fall further in next 24 hours.

On January 23, the minimum temperature logged at 12°C and the maximum temperature was recorded at 19°C.  Following the rain, air quality improved, with AQI dropping to the ‘satisfactory’ 201-300 range after days of  hazardous pollution.
