A terrifying incident captured on CCTV footage has rapidly gone viral across social media, showing a man and a woman's miraculous escape from a massive blast inside a home. It was caused by an LPG cylinder gas leak, with the pair dangerously close to the source just at the time of the blast.

The dramatic footage recorded in an undisclosed location, timestamped Wednesday (June 18) around 3 pm, reveals the red-coloured LPG cylinder leaking heavily on the floor. A middle-aged woman is seen frantically attempting to control the relentless gas flow, but her efforts prove futile as the room steadily fills with hazardous fumes. She then runs to seek help, leaving the cylinder to continue its heavy leakage.

Minutes later, the woman returns with a man, and both bravely approach the leaking cylinder, attempting to close the gas pipe's knob. It is at this critical moment that a massive explosion rocks the kitchen, sending a violent blaze instantly engulfing the entire room. In a stroke of immense luck, the woman had kept the doors and windows of the house open during the leakage. This crucial action is believed to have significantly reduced the impact of the blast, providing a vital escape route.

Social media reaction and lessons learned
Both the woman and the man remarkably escaped the massive explosion and subsequent fire unhurt, fleeing the house just in time. The flames, originating from the gas stove, rapidly spread throughout the property.

Online reactions highlighted the critical role of the open doors. As Aishwarya Ram (@Conscious_Factz) posted on X, "Open doors saved lives this time. Let’s not depend on luck-awareness prevents disasters. Stay alert, stay safe." Another user, BADER ALMAHROQI (@baderalmahroqi), noted, "To their happiness, the doors and windows were open, resulting in a large amount of gas leaking out, and weakening the impact of the explosion."

Moneycontrol has not been able to independently verify the video but it serves as a stark warning about the dangers of gas leaks and the life-saving difference simple safety actions can make.
