Pakistan fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi got married to Ansha Afridi, the daughter of former captain Shahid Afridi in a ceremony held in Karachi on Tuesday. The speedster thanked his followers in a Facebook post, but surprisingly wrote a congratulatory message to his own post.

An X (formerly Twitter) handle shared a screenshot of Afridi's words and the post saw several comments, many of whom were left in splits that the fast bowler had wished himself in his own wedding post.
Current skipper Babar Azam and wicket-keeper batter Mohammad Rizwan were among the several notable guests, part of the ceremony that was held this week.
The couple had a private nikah ceremony previously in 2023, that was done adhering to Afridi tribal customs and remained undisclosed to the general public.
The speedster was chosen in the 15-man Pakistan squad for the 50-over World Cup that will take place in India next month. The Men in Green will play their first match of the tournament against Netherlands in Hyderabad on October 6.
Earlier this month, Afridi presented a gift to Indian speedster Jasprit Bumrah for becoming a father, the video of which was shared on X (formerly Twitter).
