"With Sanjivji JS [from the ministry of trade and commerce] and Aman Gupta," Bikhchandani wrote. "I told Aman that guys in black baseball caps are dangerous. He said 'I am the original. All others are fake. I have no branches in Canada or America'."

The last time the two entrepreneurs interacted publicly was during the ET Now Global Business Summit 2024. They were discussing how Gupta made an eye-popping return of 2,900 percent in just two years by investing in a business pitched during the first season of Shark Tank India in December 2021. Gupta and the other judges had together invested Rs 1 crore for a 15 percent stake in the company.
Speaking to Bikhchandani, the "Shark" recalled that in the first season he made around 20 investments with a total investment of Rs 6 crore. "I invested Rs 20 lakh in Skippi and I am just getting an exit at Rs 6 crore," he said, adding that the return from the ice popsicle brand alone matched the total of his other investments.
