Sheetal Devi made the country proud after bagging two gold medals for India at the Asian Para Games in Hangzhou. Congratulatory messages poured in from all over for the 16-year-old armless archer and even Anand Mahindra lauded her achievement.
The Mahindra Group Chairman hailed Devi’s unbeatable spirit and called her a “teacher to all”. As a token of his praise, he asked her to choose any car from the Mahindra lineup that would suit her requirements. The industrialist also vowed to never complain about petty problems in his life.
''I will never, EVER again complain about petty problems in my life. #SheetalDevi you are a teacher to us all. Please pick any car from our range & we will award it to you & customise it for your use,'' he wrote while sharing a video of the young archer’s inspiring journey.

The post received an outpouring of love from social media users and swiftly garnered traction online.
“Very inspiring. Would show this video to my 10 YO son, who is increasingly getting bullied at school, in the playground for his hearing aid & CI processor stuck on his head! I am sure this will lift him up,” a user wrote.
Another user commented, “Sheetal Devi, you are an inspiration to us all.”
“A great gesture from you, sir,” a third user remarked.
Meghna Girish also reacted to Mahindra’s post and wrote, “Thank you very much for this @anandmahindra ji. When we first got her across to Bengaluru, after a day of site-seeing, Sheetal had put her feet on my parked car's steering wheel and said 'ek din mein bhi gaadi chalaoongi'. Dreams do come true. We knew she would do it.
