The co-founder and CEO of Truecaller, Alan Mamedi, has revealed that when he first met Narayana Murthy eight years ago, he had no idea he was meeting the billionaire founder of Infosys.
In a post shared on the microblogging platform X, Mamedi described Narayana Murthy as an “incredibly humble person” whom he first met eight years ago. At that time, neither knew what the other did, but they spent an hour discussing everything about life.
When Mamedi finally asked Murthy what he does, the entrepreneur did not talk about Infosys. Instead, he identified himself as a philanthropist and said: “My wife always told me that because I had luck in life, I must give back, and that's what I'm doing today. Giving back.”

In a follow-up tweet, he clarified: “I bought a used computer from a company who had a service deal with Infosys and I inherited the warranty from them. The service guy was pretty surprised that he had to fix it in someone's kitchen.”
Narayana Murthy has been in the news of late for saying that youngsters should work 70 hours a week for the progress of the nation. His comment started a huge debate online.
