For the gruesome attacks, the terrorists targeted several popular spots for maximum impact. Among them were Mumbai’s Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, Oberoi Hotels, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, Nariman Point and Cafe Leopold.

While nine LeT terrorists were killed, Mohammad Ajmal Amir Kasab was caught and arrested after he attacked the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus railway station. In May 2010, he was awarded the death penalty. He was hanged in a maximum security prison in Pune two years later.
