In Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, a barber named Sonu faced a difficult situation when his phone was stolen. However, the kindness of a loyal customer turned this challenge into a heartwarming story. The customer launched a fundraiser on Milaap to raise Rs 15,000 for a new phone for Sonu. To facilitate donations, he created a T-shirt with a QR code linking directly to the donation page.
Praising Sonu for his respectful and kind demeanour, the customer highlighted the barber’s heart of gold and expressed his admiration for Sonu's playlist, promising to download every song once Sonu had a new phone.
The story gained wider attention when an X user spotted the customer wearing the T-shirt with the QR code in Connaught Place, Delhi.
The user shared the encounter online, stating, “Spotted this guy in CP today (the QR code opens a fundraiser for his barber).” The fundraiser page described the situation: “My Barber’s phone got stolen, help me gift him a new one. Someone stole my barber’s phone which got him upset. He’s a kind soul who never talks to anyone rudely. He listens to everyone’s problems without judgment. I really want to make him smile again. Hence I’m raising this fund to gift him a new phone. From Kumar Sanu to Honey Singh, his playlist was pure gold and I will download all his fav songs to his new phone. PS – People also call him Ghaziabad ka Aalim Hakim.”
