Pepsico India chief Manu Anand has quit the company. His exit comes amid speculation that he was asked to leave. The company had been losing ground to Coca-Cola and Anand’s gamble to put Rs 160 crore into the IPL also did not pay off.
Royal Bank of Scotland has found a replacement for Meena Sanyal who recently quit as country head to enter the world of politics and social development. Ex-Citibanker Sanjeev Vohra will take over the India business. Vohra recently quit as country officer Philippines to move back to India.
Coca-cola India chief Atul Singh will now also oversee Greater China and South Korea. Promoted to deputy president, Pacific group, he is the first person of Indian origin to take on a role of that scale in the company.
Grant Liversage will take over as the new managing director for SABMiller's Indian unit, replacing Paolo Lanzarotti, who moves to head the Czech Republic operations. Previously, Liversage was heading the company's Mozambique unit.
