"Barbie" received eight Oscar nominations.

Australian actor Margot Robbie reacted to the fan fury surrounding summer blockbuster “Barbie” being snubbed at the Oscar nominations.

“There’s no way to feel sad when you know you’re this blessed,” Robbie said, as quoted by Deadline.

At the Oscar nominations announced last week, “Barbie” missed out on key nominations for Greta Gerwig as director and Margot Robbie for best actress. The film had to settle for eight nods, lower than what many had predicted.

“Obviously I think Greta should be nominated as a director, because what she did is a once-in-a-career, once-in-a-lifetime thing, what she pulled off, it really is,” Robbie, 33, said during a during a panel at a special SAG screening on Tuesday.

“But it’s been an incredible year for all the films.”

"Oppenheimer", the other half of last year’s "Barbenheimer" box office phenomenon, dominated the Oscar nominations, earning an impressive 13 nods including for best picture.

Hollywood actor Ryan Gosling, who earned a supporting actor nomination for his efforts as Ken, was among the first to speak out on “Barbie’s” snub.

"No recognition would be possible for anyone on the film without their talent, grit and genius," he said.

"To say that I'm disappointed that they are not nominated in their respective categories would be an understatement."

Former US presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, who lost the 2016 election to Donald Trump, was among those who had reacted to the film's heartbreak at the Academy Awards.

"Greta and Margot, While it can sting to win the box office but not take home the gold, your millions of fans love you. You're both so much more than Kenough. #HillaryBarbie," she wrote on X.
