Actress Jaime Pressly on Friday pleaded not guilty to two charges of drunken driving stemming from her January arrest in Santa Monica, California.
Pressly, 33, best known for her Emmy-winning role as a trailer-trash temptress in "My Name is Earl," had her plea entered on her behalf by her lawyer. A judge set a pretrial hearing date of March 18.
Pressly is accused of driving with a blood-alcohol level of 0.20% or more, which is more than twice the legal limit of 0.08%, according to the complaint filed by the Santa Monica city attorney's office.
Pressly filed for divorce from her husband of 15 months on January 21, 16 days after her drunken driving arrest. At that time, she was held for about seven hours before being released on USD 15,000 bail. "My Name is Earl" ended its four-year run on US television in 2009.
