US Vice President Joe Biden called Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and discussed regional and global issues of mutual concern, the White House has said.

US Vice President Joe Biden called Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and discussed regional and global issues of mutual concern, the White House has said.

"The Vice President reaffirmed the US commitment in building a global, strategic partnership with India," the White House said yesterday.
No further details about the telephonic conversation between Biden and Singh were immediately available.
