It's not unusual for people to go to great lengths for their loved ones on Valentine's Day, but Blinkit had to draw a line when a customer requested the food-delivery app for help to go the extra mile for his girlfriend.
Sharing the screenshot of an exchange between a customer care executive and the customer whose identity was not revealed, Blinkit stated how they had to turn down a special request.
"I ordered flowers and gifts for my girlfriend from your Valentine's Day collection. Can you help me with something?" the customer wrote in the app's help section. "My girlfriend's parents are not letting her step out today. Can I be your delivery partner for this order?"
Blinkit had a short reply: "Sorry, we can't."
The interaction prompted a "facepalm" reaction from the company's CEO. "India is clearly not for beginners," Albinder Dhindsa wrote on X.

The exchange, however, had social media users entertained.
"India wants to know, how this chat was closed," wrote Trishla Singh Bhati (@bhati_trishla). Another X user Mahadevan (@sk_mahadevan) added, "I would have got an order at my place and do the jugaad for the Blinkit uniform and delivered the order myself."
A few others claimed that the interaction was staged.
"You should consider revising your social media marketing strategy. While the script is good, making slight adjustments to the chat timing could enhance realism. Nonetheless, it's entertaining," commented Kishan J (@kishanjha_3).
"Scripted. Bro never seen such a response time on chat support in my life. I am sure your creative guy is a beginner," Arpan (@arpanmonktyagi).
