Anant Ambani's luxury watch impresses Mark Zuckerberg, Priscilla Chan: 'I might want that'

The Ambanis hosted Mark Zuckerberg, wife Priscilla Chan and numerous global and Indian personalities.

The watch that Anant Ambani, Mukesh Ambani’s younger son, wore at his pre-wedding festivities in Gujarat’s Jamnagar on Saturday, impressed social media tycoon Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan so much that they raved about the luxury piece.

In a viral video capturing the moment, Anant Ambani is seen extending a warm invitation for Zuckerberg and Chan to explore Vantara, his expansive animal rescue and rehabilitation centre located in Jamnagar where the grand pre-wedding celebrations took place.

As the conversation unfolds, Priscilla Chan spots his watch and tells Ambani, “That watch is fantastic, that is so cool. Wow.”
Zuckerberg interjects and says, “yeah, I told him that already.”

The Meta chief added that he was never fond of watches but might have changed his mind after seeing Anant Ambani’s exquisite timepiece.

“You know, I never really wanted to get a watch. But after seeing that, I was like, watches are cool.”

When Chan asked, Ambani revealed that he was wearing a Richard Mille watch.

While Anant Ambani is the younger son of Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) CMD Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani, his fiancee, Radhika Merchant, is the younger daughter of Viren Merchant, CEO of Encore Healthcare. Anant Ambani serves as a director on the boards of RIL and Jio Platforms Ltd among some other group firms.

The grand pre-wedding celebrations, which began on Friday, were held at a residential township situated close to RIL's petroleum refinery near Jamnagar city. Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant had got engaged in January 2023.

Among the celebrities who attended the lavish celebrations are top Bollywood stars such as Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, cricketers, sports stars, heads of states and business tycoons from India and abroad.

Pop icon Rihanna performed live for the guests on Friday evening, delivering some of her greatest hits.
