The post also encouraged conversation about family roles and identity.

LinkedIn has long been a platform where professionals showcase career achievements and highlight job titles. However, a profile update by Anil Baveja, a Noida-based professional, took a different turn when he entered his current role as “Assistant to my wife.”

The description, added in August 2023, quickly gained attention and circulated widely online.

Baveja is not new to the corporate world. His career has spanned several decades in the automobile sector, including more than 16 years with Honda Cars India, where he advanced to the role of Operating Head, Marketing and Strategy. He subsequently worked as General Manager at another automobile company.

Despite his senior industry positions, his profile listed his present role in lighter terms. He even noted the work as a “trainee position.”

A screenshot of the LinkedIn page was posted to Reddit, including the community r/LinkedInLunatics, which frequently shares unusual or unconventional entries on the platform. The post drew significant engagement, with comments ranging from admiration to humour.

One user remarked: “Not a lunatic, a legend.” Another wrote: “We like an honest man!” A third said: “That’s the sanest man I’ve seen in this sub.”

A different user added: “Honest guy for once.” Another stated: “Mr Baveja knows what’s up.”

Further responses expressed aspirational views. One comment read: “This dude is living my dream job. If he’s a lunatic, I must be too. I tell my wife at least once a month that I’ll quit and be a stay-at-home husband and dad. Honestly, it’s why I save aggressively, to retire early and work on our home all day.”

Other Reddit posts included lighter responses. One comment described him as “Pookie uncle but so cute.” Another added: “Awwwwww… Sweetest thing on Instagram.” A separate user noted: “He won at life, I don’t even have a girl.”

Another Redditor, referring to their own situation, wrote: “Aww. This is my husband’s job too. The only issue is that the performance reviews can be a bit awkward.”

Meanwhile, the post also encouraged conversation about family roles and identity. Many comments highlighted the dignity in domestic responsibilities and the value of not treating LinkedIn solely as a place for career ambition.
