POCO C61 goes on sale in India

Poco C61 comes in three colours: Mystical Green, Ethereal Blue, and Diamond Dust Black.

POCO has just announced that its latest budget device will go on sale on March 28, 2024. The POCO C61 is the newest device that keeps with the brand’s philosophy of ‘Made of MAD’ with a focus on what it’s fans want. The C61 comes with quite a few features like a 6.71-inch dot drop display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor that make it an attractive proposition at its sticker price.

Here are the highlights of the POCO C61:

Radiant ring design: POCO is playing up the device’s radiant ring design. The device features a unique glass back design that stands out in this segment and comes in three colours - Mystical Green, Ethereal Blue, and Diamond Dust Black. We also approve of the side-mounted fingerprint scanner that is convenient and adds an extra ring of security.

Massive battery: POCO has packed the C61 with a large 5000 mAh battery that should keep you going all day. POCO keeps the heft under 200gm despite this massive battery. There’s a 10W charger in the box.

90 Hz refresh rate: The POCO C61 features a large, 6.71-inch HD+ display (1650 x 720 pixels) with a 90Hz refresh rate. The display hits a peak brightness of 500 nits, making it one of the more vibrant displays at this price point. POCO claims that DC dimming technology reduces eye strain. The C61 features a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection against scratches and cracks.

Under the hood: The device is powered by the MediaTek G36, based on 12nm process technology and Octa core processor with up-to 2.2GHz clock speed. The device comes in two hardware configurations – 4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB.

The device lands at a compelling price tag of Rs 6,999 for the 4GB/64GB option and Rs 7,999 for the 6GB/128GB option. These prices are inclusive of a Rs 500 coupon consumer offer for the first day.
