Among the most awaited phones this year, which the rumours suggest can be launched as early as the end of this month, OnePlus 6’s teaser was released by the company.
The teaser released on Twitter asks its followers to “6et ready!” Going by the teaser the speed of the phone could be its USP. The teaser says, “The speed you need”. Incidentally, the smartphone is slated to pack Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, one of the latest processors from the company.
Earlier, company co-founder Carl Pei confirmed the rumours that OnePlus 6 will have an Apple iPhone X-like notch at the top of the display.
Pei said having a notch at the top was only possible by making modifications to smartphone’s front camera, sensors, notification light and earpieces.
The company co-founder said that notch on the iPhone X is larger as it has to accommodate the FaceID apparatus. The notch on OnePlus 6 is smaller than iPhone X’s but is larger than the one on Essential PH1, which is one of the first Android-based smartphones to feature a notch.
On March 27, Evan Blass, a Twitter personality popular for leaking smartphone images shared a picture showing the rear side of OnePlus 6.
The image also shows the presence of, what looks like a 3.5mm audio jack, a speaker at the bottom along with a type-C USB port.
Leaked images show that the rear of the phone has a glass body design with the vertical dual camera setup at the top centre. Below that is an LED flash and a rectangular fingerprint sensor. The OnePlus logo is printed at the centre of the rear of the phone.
The leaks have also suggested that OnePlus 6 will come with a P7819 model number and one version of it will carry 6GB RAM with 128GB internal memory. Another version may carry an 8GB RAM with 256GB internal memory. It will run the latest Android 8.1 Oreo.
