As the name suggests, Lava is betting big on the curved display of it’s all new smartphone. The Blaze Curve 5G has just gone on sale on Amazon and Lava’s retail network. Positioned as an Indian smartphone brand, Lava is hoping to disrupt the mid-range segment with a device that comes in two variants that start at Rs 17,999. These are the key highlights of this 5G-ready smartphone:
Lava Blaze Curve 5G option 1 is Glass Viridian.
Curved display: This is clearly the talking point of the Blaze Curve 5G. You get a 6.67-inch 3D curved, AMOLED display (2400 x 1080 pixels) with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display offers HDR, HDR10, HDR10+ and Widevine L1 Support. This immersive display is complemented by stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.
Under the hood: Lava claims that the Blaze Curve 5G has crossed the 5,70,000 threshold in AnTuTu benchmark tests. It’s powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 processor. There are two hardware variants: 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB.
Battery details: There’s a 5000 mAh battery that’s backed by a 33W charger in the box. Lava claims that the device goes from 1 to 100% in 83 minutes. Lava keeps the heft under 190 gm despite this robust battery.
Triple rear cam: The highlight of the rear cam is the 64MP primary lens (Sony sensor with EIS support) that combines with an 8MP ultrawide lens (120-degree field of view) and a 2MP macro cam. There’s also a 32MP selfie shooter in the mix.
Powered by Android 13: The device features Google Android 13. The other positive is a pure-play Android experience minus bloatware. Lava claims it’s ad-free interface offers a clean user experience.
The Lava Blaze Curve 5G is available in two colour ways – Glass Iron and Glass Viridian. It comes in two variants – 8GB/128GB (Rs 17,999) and 8GB/256GB (Rs 18,999).
