For a long time now, 32GB was the maximum limit in most mobile devices as far as expandable memory goes. But what if you wanted more? Well, SanDisk now has the answer. The company has launched a 64GB microSDXC card which effectively doubles the capacity of any existing microSD card. The new cards will be compatible with devices that support the SDXC standard. Most devices today support SDHC, which maxes out at 32GB. It doesn’t come cheap either, the 64GB card will cost you a whopping US $219.99 and is available now from SanDisk’s store.

The new card will adhere to Class 6 speeds as it supports data transfer of up to 30MB/s which is enough for capturing HD videos and high resolution photos. The card will come with an SD adapter so you can easily transfer data to your computer. It is also backed by a lifetime warranty. This is just the start, SanDisk says that the microSDXC standard will one support capacities of 2TB which is crazy just to even think about. The new line-up starts from 4GB and goes all the way up to 64GB. The cards will also have a red and grey colour to distinguish them from the SDHC cards.
