Lenovo unveiled a tablet called the ThinkPad Tablet 2 in August. This tablet runs on the Windows 8 Pro operating system. Now, Lenovo has announced that the starting price for this model is $649, which roughly translates to Rs 34,200. The Thinkpad Tablet 2 will succeed the currently available Thinkpad Tablet, which runs on an ARM processor and Android OS. As reported by Engadget, the tablet will include a 1366 x 768 IPS display, a 64GB solid state drive, 2GB of RAM, a battery with 10 hours of battery life, optional 3G/ 4G, micro-HDMI output, 2MP and 8MP dual cameras, NFC, a fingerprint reader, and an Ethernet jack. The tablet will pack all of these within a thickness of 9.8mm, and will weigh around 589 grams. The tablet will run on the new 32nm Atom processors (codenamed Clover Trail) that are optimised for use in tablets. The ThinkPad Tablet 2 will feature a stylus, an optional dock, and an optional ThinkPad-style keyboard complete with TrackPoint nub.Click here for full story
