Far Cry 3 out now on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360

Ubisoft's tropical island-based first person shooter - Far Cry 3 - is now available on the PC, PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360. The game is available on the PC for Rs 999 through retail, or $49.99 through Steam, and the Lost Expeditions Edition costs Rs 1,299 through retail and the digital Deluxe Edition on steam costs $59.99. The console versions both cost Rs 2,799, and the Lost Expeditions Editions costs Rs 2,999. To commemorate the event, Ubisoft has released the launch trailer for the game.If you buy the PC version, you are advised to download the 'critical' day one patch. The patch needs to be installed, according to Ubisoft, "in order to benefit from an optimal game experience". The patch is set to improve overall multiplayer stability and performance, fix voice chat issues, co-op problems, tweaks the map editor, improve single-player stability and performance, and fix flickering water textures, among other things. You can check the official patch notes on the Ubisoft forums.Recently, Ubisoft had released a trailer that showcased the co-op campaign mode of the game. The co-op game mode will be available to play online, as well as locally through split-screen. Playable characters include Callum the Scottish thug, Leanard the crooked cop, Mikhail the Russian hitman, and Tisha the ex-soldier.The co-op campaign will have its own story that is set six months before the events of the single-player campaign. The story revolves around the four players being scammed out of their money by pirates. This leads to the four characters chasing the pirates and eventually landing on Far Cry 3's islands.Along with typical co-operative play, the co-op mode will also have minor competitions between the characters, such as sniping the most amount of enemies or winning races on vehicles.
