In an interview with PTI late Saturday, Shah also said that there is no presence of the Maoists in the so-called Naxal corridor from Pashupatinath to Tirupati.

The gunfight took place in a forest near Keshkutul village under Bhairamgarh police station area at around 5.30 am when a team of the District Reserve Guard (DRG) was out on an anti-Naxal operation, a senior police official told PTI.
In an encounter in Chhattisgarh's Kanker, located in the Bastar region, a total of 29 Naxalites were killed. Superintendent of Police, Kanker, Indira Kalyan Elesela, mentioned that a BSF inspector and a constable from the Kanker police sustained injuries during the incident. "In the next three years, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country will be 100 percent free from the Naxal problem," Amit Shah said.
These five districts will now be provided special central funds, as earmarked under the security-related expenditure (SRE) scheme for LWE hit states, for the financial year 2022-23
In March this year, Naxals burnt at least 12 vehicles, mostly trucks, engaged in road construction works in Kuyemari village, where 'Kodakal', one of the most picturesque waterfalls of the area, is located.

Security personnel were ambushed by naxals when they were out on a combing operation in a forest along the border of the Bijapur and Sukma districts of Chhattisgarh.
During his visit, Shah will meet some of the injured security personnel in a hospital, a home ministry official said. Thirty jawans were injured in the ambush.
A Naxal "commander" Madvi Muiya was gunned down in that encounter, he added.
"Congress party has joined hands with Naxalites to oust Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his leadership,” Rao told reporters here at a press conference.
Two police personnel were also injured in the incident, which took place in Nilawaya village under the Aranpur police station.
