State co-operation minister Subhash Deshmukh said in the Legislative Assembly that 12.69 lakh tonne 'tur', 54,000 tonne 'moong' and 5.86 lakh tonne 'udid' (all varieties of pulses grown by farmers) have been procured by the government so far in the financial year 2017-18.
In a written reply to a question in the Legislative Assembly, Patil said that hailstorms and rain damaged agriculture crops over an area of 2.54 lakh hectare and multi-crops on an area of 38,046 hectare.
The minister said the government would make it mandatory for autorickshaw and taxi drivers to paste stickers displaying toll free complaint numbers 1800220110 and 62426666 in their vehicles for passengers to report grievances.
In this connection, a lookout notice has been issued for GainBitcoin founder Amit Bhardwaj, who has fled the country, Minister of State for Home Ranjit Patil said.
