"The chief minister has instructed that the date to receive online applications for the loan waiver scheme be extended by seven days. Farmers can now submit their applications till September 22," the official said.
A Government Resolution (GR) to the effect was issued on September 4, a top official of the Home department said.

"There was a model code of conduct in effect for four months in entire Maharashtra in whole year, hence the state (government) could spend only 45 percent of its budgetary allocation for the financial year 2016-17," Fadnavis told PTI.
