Donald Trump’s legal team is appealing a verdict finding him liable for sexually assaulting E. Jean Carroll and slandering her. The 2nd US Circuit Court of Appeals will hear arguments Friday, with Trump potentially attending in person.
Trump posted $91.6 million bond for defamation verdict favoring E. Jean Carroll, appealing the case stemming from her rape accusation.
"Today, the world finally knows the truth," Carroll said in a statement. "This victory is not just for me but for every woman who has suffered because she was not believed."
E Jean Carroll told a US civil trial that an alleged sexual assault by Donald Trump three decades ago left her feeling 'ashamed' and unable to have romantic relationships.
