About 48% of 8,210 consumers surveyed by LocalCircles mentioned frequent disruptions to their mobile services due to poor network availability and 44% were disgruntled with low data speeds.
All four of Britain’s networks – EE, Vodafone, O2 and Three – had agreed to the timetable, the government said.
Its 2G services, which consists of the largest subscriber base, will continue.
Further, the company said it is in the best position to upgrade 2G customers also to 4G, but it will continue with basic voice based services to its 2G subscribers.

Idea Cellular on Monday announced its much anticipated merger with Vodafone India and Vodafone Mobile Services Limited, its wholly-owned subsidiary.
"Idea has now announced that it will allow open market data recharges of 1GB and above to work on Idea's 2G, 3G or 4G network without any differential prices and this will be rolled out nationally by March 31, 2017," Idea said in a statement.

The company plans to cut 4G data price to Rs 49 from Rs 149 for 1 GB data, slash 3G prices to Rs 99 per month for unlimited data and revise 2G prices to Rs 49 per month for unlimited data, say sources.
