Wipro’s Azim Premji tops the EdelGive Hurun India Philanthropy 2021 list for the second consecutive year, retaining ‘India’s most generous’ title. Hurun India and EdelGive released the eighth edition of EdelGive Hurun India Philanthropy List, ranking the most generous individuals in India.

Wipro’s Azim Premji tops the EdelGive Hurun India Philanthropy 2021 list for the second consecutive year, retaining ‘India’s most generous’ title. Hurun India and EdelGive released the eight edition of EdelGive Hurun India Philanthropy List, ranking the most generous individuals in India. The list highlights India’s remarkable givers and captures the growing importance of individual givers in India’s philanthropic landscape towards nation-building, measured by the value of their donation from April 1 2020 to March 31, 2021. Education is the most favoured cause with a cumulative donation of Rs 9659 crore by 72 philanthropists. This year’s EdelGive Hurun India Philanthropy List 2021 features individuals who have donated INR 5 crore or more during the period under review. Let’s find out the top ten generous Indians.

Wipro’s Azim Premji tops the EdelGive Hurun India Philanthropy 2021 list for the second consecutive year, retaining ‘India’s most generous’ title. Premji's contribution is many times higher than anyone on the list--nearly 8x the second-place holder's and 85x the tenth-place holder's. Hurun India and EdelGive released the eighth edition of the list, ranking the most generous people in India based on the value of their donations between April 1 2020 and March 31, 2021. Among the philanthropists, education is the most favoured cause drawing a total of Rs 9,659 crore from 72 donors. This year’s list features individuals who have given Rs 5 crore and above, during the period under review. Let’s meet the most giving Indians.
