Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday lambasted Congress's Jharkhand in charge Ghulam Ahmed Mir for promising subsidised LPG cylinders to everyone, including "infiltrators".
"Their (Congress) leader is openly declaring that they will give infiltrators, Rohingyas, Bangladeshi - gas cylinders at cheaper rates. It's the example of how they are playing with the future of you children's future for the sake of votes," PM Modi said while addressing a rally at Panvel in Maharashtra.
The Prime Minister cautioned the people against Congress's vote bank politics and said the grand old party is against the poor.
In his purported video on social media, Mir can be heard saying that the JMM-Congress government will provide LPG cylinders at just Rs 450 for everyone.
"As soon as the government is formed, from December 1, the price of a gas cylinder will be just Rs 450 for everyone, whether he is Hindu, Muslim, or an infiltrator," he said.
The video was shared by BJP's CR Kesavan on X.
Reacting to the video, Union minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that Jharkhand is in danger and urged the people of the state to save it.
"Congress is announcing to give gas cylinders to intruders in Jharkhand. Congress Jharkhand state in-charge Ghulam Ahmed Mir is saying that we will give cylinders to intruders for Rs 450...These are those intruders who have come from Bangladesh to our country...I want to say that the state is in danger and you all have to save it," Chouhan said.
Earlier today, Union home minister Amit Shah hit out at the Hemant Soren government and alleged that the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) was mired in corruption.
He said that if the BJP came to power, it would wipe out the infiltrators from the state and would bring a law to return the encroached land of tribals.
