NEET PG 2023 cut-off reduced to zero for all categories

IMA had requested the Health Minister for the same a few days ago

September 20, 2023 / 20:38 IST
The Indian Medical Association had requested for the reduction as the seats in the medical colleges were staying vacant leading to wastage of valuable national resources.

The office of Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has reduced the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2023 qualifying percentile to zero across all categories.

“The qualifying percentile for PG Courses (Medical/ Dental) for NEET PG Counselling 2023 has been reduced to 'ZERO' across all categories by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare,” the statement said.

Thus, all candidates who appeared for the NEET PG 2023 exam will be eligible to participate in the postgraduate medical counselling process.

The Indian Medical Association had requested the health minister and the National Medical Commission the same as the seats in the medical colleges were staying vacant leading to wastage of valuable national resources, according to the organisation.

“Due to the high percentile for admission to various postgraduate courses in the medical colleges, many deserving students were not able to join PG seats which were vacant,” IMA said in a press statement.
